About Spring

Spring is an AI-native lender. We spent the first eight months of our business building completely novel in-house software — loan management systems, payment rails infrastructure, and technology for analyzing business bank transactions and financials. That foundation let us originate over $100 million in funding to CPG brands within our first year of business.

Now we're building the product that all of that infrastructure was designed to power: an AI CFO agent. The addressable market starts with tens of thousands of CPG brands and extends to small businesses across many verticals. Our lending operation gives us a unique advantage — deep financial data, direct customer relationships, and the real-world workflows that the agent needs to automate.

The CFO agent operates across a brand's entire financial stack — managing deductions, handling email workflows, working with accounting and banking data, and more. The interface itself is a core part of the product: the agent renders an opinionated, flexible UI that mutates in real time. Design isn't decoration here — it's how the product works.

What You'll Do

You'll scope and design real changes across our three surfaces — the customer-facing platform our brands use, the admin side our own team runs the business on, and the new agentic CFO product. You'll work closely with our product, engineering, and ops teams, pulling bite-sized, well-defined tasks off their plates and turning them into shipped design.

You'll do this work primarily in Claude Design. It's our main design modality — the place where ideas become real interfaces and then make their way into production fast. You don't need prior experience with it; we'll get you up and running, and if you're a strong designer who's curious about how AI is changing the craft, you'll take to it quickly.

Who We're Looking For

We're a small team and you'll be close to everything. The person who thrives here is hungry to ship, comfortable owning a task end-to-end, and excited to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the people building and operating the product.

What matters most:

  • Real digital design experience — a prior internship, freelance work, or a portfolio of digital product or interface design. This is essential.
  • Strong visual and interaction instincts — you have taste and can turn a loose brief into something clean and usable.
  • Curiosity about AI-native design. Experience with Claude Design is a plus, not a requirement — what matters is that you learn fast and want to.
  • High agency and communication — you can take a bite-sized task, clarify what you need, and run with it.
